To receive the full value of your mobile phone it must:
Any handsets that are too old to be listed on our website are of zero value. Please contact us for any further information.
Every mobile phone we receive is tested before we send payment. If on inspection we find that the model you have traded in is not the same as the one sent to us then we will confirm the correct mobile phone by e-mail (and if appropriate make a revised offer). This can often happen where models of mobile phones look similar.
If we do not hear from you within 7 days of a revised offer we will automatically make this change and process your payment on the new model.
Usedfone can still offer payment for damaged handsets however the value offered will be significantly less than that of a working handset. These handsets should be traded in as normal and once the mobile phone has been received and tested we will contact you via e-mail with a revised offer. Non working prices can vary from zero up to 50% of the working value, this will depend on the model and the fault.
If you do not inform us of your decision within 7 days of our revised offer we will automatically accept it and issue the revised payment. Under no circumstances can handsets be returned after this period.
Please ensure that you remove any SIM Cards, Memory Cards and any personal data from your handset before sending it to us. Any SIM Cards sent to us by mistake cannot be returned and will be destroyed immediately.
Usedfone cannot be held responsible for any personal data left on the handset.
Where possible we will endeavour to make payment within 7 days of receipt of your handset in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. At busy times of the year we cannot guarantee payment within this period. All payments are non-transferable and Usedfone reserve the right to withdraw offers without notice. Please note that all prices are inclusive of VAT at 17.5%.
Payment will be sent by cheque using Royal Mail.
From time to time we will change the offer values of handsets on the website without notice. We will hold the offer value on a handset for 10 days from the day the order is processed.
Usedfone does not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to handsets before receipt at our warehouse.
We strongly recommend that all our customers pack their handsets to minimise the risk of damage. The prepaid envelope does not guarantee that the handset will be received in the same condition as when it was sent. In addition we suggest that all handsets are sent to us using Royal Mail's Special Delivery service.
We are unable to return handsets that are sent to us and are accepted at full price or after a customer accepts a handset value at a lower price. Handsets will be returned to customers only if a lower price is offered and rejected. If we do not receive a response within 7 days the handset will become property of Usedfone and the revised faulty offer value will be given.
We aim to return any phones customers want back within 2 working days of being asked. Anyone who has not received their handset back, and has requested it, has 14 days to notify us as unfortunately outside this time period is out of our control.
No payment will be issued to any handsets that are discovered to be barred or stolen. These handsets can only be returned if the customer can provide adequate documentation showing clear legal ownership of the handset, such as a contract bill stating the IMEI number of the handset. If documentation cannot be provided within 14 days the handset will become the property of Usedfone and will not be returned.
